NoteOwl

NoteOwl is a fully on-device AI meeting note taker for Mac.

It records calls from any meeting app, like Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams, without adding a bot to the call. It transcribes the meeting with speaker labels, writes the summary and action items, and tracks the commitments people make. You can ask questions across all your past meetings, and every answer links back to the exact passage in the transcript.

Transcription and AI processing run entirely on your Mac, so recordings are never uploaded, and NoteOwl keeps working with the Wi-Fi turned off.

It also includes free, unlimited dictation that works in any Mac app: talk, and your words are typed where your cursor is.

Also included:

• A quick briefing before each meeting on your calendar
• 22 meeting note templates, from meeting minutes to 1:1s
• Follow-up emails drafted for you
• Audio and video files turned into text
• 34 languages

Built natively in Swift and SwiftUI. Free to download for Macs with Apple silicon running macOS 26 or later.
