A recipe manager from the developer of Reeder — import recipes from any site, cook from a distraction-free step view with timers pulled out of the text, and plan the week.

Mela imports a recipe from a URL and parses it into clean ingredients and steps, stripping the life story and the ad wall. Cook mode shows one step at a time and automatically turns "simmer for 20 minutes" into a tappable timer. There's a weekly meal planner, an auto-generated grocery list, and full-text search across your collection. Sync is via iCloud, there's no account, and there are no ads.
It's by Silvio Rizzi, who also makes Reeder, and it carries the same restraint and native polish into a category usually full of cluttered, ad-supported apps. Mela is free, works offline, and treats your recipe library as plain data you own. It's one of the better examples of Apple-platform craft in an everyday app.
