Paste

Paste keeps everything you copy in a searchable history and lets you organize it into pinboards you can share between your own devices.

Why it makes the list

It's the single most-recommended clipboard manager in every "best of" roundup — the category leader for anyone who wants their clipboard synced across every Apple device, not just their Mac.

Key features

• Clipboard history and pinboards synced across Mac, iPhone, and iPad via iCloud
• Multi-item pasting in a chosen order, with a choice of original formatting or plain text
• Shared pinboards for passing snippets to teammates or between your own devices
• Rules to exclude sensitive data (like passwords) from specific apps

Pricing

Subscription: $2.49/month billed monthly, or $29.99/year billed annually. A lifetime, one-time-purchase option is also offered. A 7-day free trial is available on both the App Store and the direct download, no credit card required for the direct download.
